As CEO and Founder of O Skin Med Spa, Olivia Quido-Co has devoted over 19 years into making people feel and look beautiful. Armed with a deeply-rooted passion for skin esthetics and nurturing instincts, her holistic approach to beauty and life in general has brought her success as a top-rated esthetician, entrepreneur, women’s advocate and a Christian philanthropist.
“Ms. O,” as most people call her, started her career as a California-licensed esthetician inside a leased spare room at a beauty salon in Artesia, CA in 2003. Undaunted by the pressures of being new in the industry, she zealously honed her skills in performing facials in the confines of an eight-by-six-feet space, while learning the ropes of running a spa. Her resilience and determination paid off as word spread about her talent and work ethics, which later earned her the Woman of the Year award, (one of the) Top 100 Filipinos in the USA, AARP’s Top 8 Woman Entrepreneur in LA, and a Mayor’s Award for Entrepreneurs in Los Angeles.
In 2007, Olivia moved to a bigger clinic. By 2012, she opened her second branch in Eagle Rock Plaza Mall. In 2013, she moved her Artesia branch in Cerritos Mall to accommodate more clients. With 2 branches, 12 treatment rooms, 3 consultation rooms and a wide range of skin treatment services; from facials, 3D eyebrow sculpting, IV glutathione, Botox and fillers, to Stem Cell rejuvenation, Plasma lift, and “Magic foundation,” O Skin Med Spa is now the most sought-after Filipino-owned medical spa in Southern California. They have employed over 40 employees – mostly Filipinos – comprised of licensed nurses, estheticians, doctors, micro-blading artists and a board-certified plastic surgeon.
O Skin Med Spa continues to grow and has become the medical spa of choice among Filipino beauty queens; from Shamcey Supsup (Miss Universe 2011, 3rd Runner-up), Janine Tugonon (Miss Universe 2012, 1st Runner-up), Ariela Arida (Miss Universe 2013, 3rd Runner-up), to Megan Young (Miss World 2013) and Pia Wurtzbach (Miss Universe 2015). A lot of Filipino celebrities like KC Conception, Boy Abunda and Claudine Barretto have endorsed and highly recommend their services. Hollywood stars such as Patti Austin and many others would drive out to LA for their famous signature facial.
In 2009, Olivia signed with ABSCBN International and The Filipino Channel (TFC) to star in her own TV beauty segment. Her show entitled, “Beauty by O,” ran and highly-rated for 10 years before transitioning to a live-stream Facebook show due to Covid-19 restrictions. She also appeared on Balitang Amerika, an award winning international news program airing on the same network. O Skin Care has been featured in several publications such as Weekend Balita, Philippine Post, Philippine Tribune, and on Travel & Leisure magazine in the Philippines.
Olivia’s weekly Facebook live-stream talk show called, “The Miss O Show” streams every Friday and is followed by friends, family, supporters in and out of the country.
In 2011, Olivia launched her own skincare line which quickly attained a massive following due to its amazing results. They released their 24-karat-gold infused products under “The Secret Collection,” in 2017. Since then, the collection which composed of “Secret Gold,” “Secret Glow,” “Secret Radiance” and “Secret Pearl” became one of the most raved-about skin product among Hollywood celebrities including Danah Cleaton and Shanty Lowry.
Using top of the line ingredients from different parts of the world, Olivia’s products have earned a reputation of dramatically replacing surgery for curing certain skin problems, thus revolutionizing the use of topical products as a non-invasive alternative. The Olivia Quido skincare line has established a following in several places such as Nepal, San Francisco, Virginia Beach, New Jersey, Australia, Switzerland, Hongkong, Philippines, Cebu, Canada and more. Because of its ever-increasing popularity, the line made its red carpet debut at the recently concluded 46th Emmy Award Academy where Olivia was officially invited to the Emmy Lounge Gifting Suite so the stars, producers, media outlets, bloggers, and influencers could experience her products first-hand. Though her products and services have long been on the radar of several beauty influencers, the event has brought in more clients including Hollywood and Days of our Lives’ stars, Kyler Pettis and Victoria Konefal, as well as actress and Lily Melgar and host Dan Babic to Olivia’s clientele of celebrities and A-listers. The 24-Karat gold mask was featured on Forbes Magazine in 2020.
The Olivia Quido skincare continues to bring in innovative and effective skincare products to the public, including a clinical and a much pro-active line that effectively addresses and corrects skin concerns such as hyperpigmentation.
Following the success of her skincare brand, Olivia launched her luxury home collection called “Olivia Quido Home,” consisting of pillows, bedding sets and table linens. It is sold in Neiman Marcus department stores and Bergdorf Goodman Department stores.
In 2019, the Olivia Quido-Skincare line made its way to the Miss Universe organization as the official skincare brand of the Miss Universe Pageant. The partnership has been going strong for two years and entitles Olivia to an exclusive access to the delegates as their skincare coach throughout the competition. The opportunity has opened doors for OSkin to be recognized around the world as the trusted brand of Miss Universe beauty queens who had nothing but praises about the products. The spa received an influx of inquiries from different parts of the world after the candidates started posting on social media. Olivia was also chosen to be one of the judges for Miss Universe Chile 2020, and the presenter of Ms. O “Perfect Skin” award. O Skin is also the official Skincare of Ms. Universe Mauritius and and the official Skincare partner of Miss USA 2020 and Miss Teen USA 2020.
In the beginning of 2020, Olivia got her first invite to the 77th Golden Globe Awards, where she walked among A-listers and Hollywood stars. Later, she was approached by the Academy Awards committee to be the official spa-partner to perform facials for exclusive guests and honorees prior the awards night. Bearing the reputation of being the “skin’s fairy godmother” for beauty queens, Olivia would be a jury president at the Miss Universe-Colombia in Bogota Colombia on October 18, 2021.
