- Avoid using moisturizing shampoos and conditioners. These contain oils that can clog and cause pimples along the hair line.
- Avoid using conditioner. Only apply conditioner to the ends of the hair if needed.
- Avoid toothpaste and mouthwash that contain artificial coloring. These may contribute to break outs around the mouth area.
- Do not use Petroleum Jelly, CarmEx, Burts Bees, Vaseline, lip gloss or lip balm on your lips.
- Use unscented facial tissue to wipe your face. Avoid using towels.
- If using a face mask, make sure to use an unscented facial tissue as a liner to avoid direct skin contact with the mask fibers.
- Only use Mineral Makeup, including blush. Mineral Makeup is free from oil and binders that can contribute to breakouts.
- Avoid using fabric softener or fabric sheets when washing your pillowcases and blankets. (Examples: Downey and Bounce)
- Pull back your hair to keep it out of your face. Dust and oil from your hair can clog pores when it’s near your face.
- Avoid picking your pimples and blackheads and touching your face with your hands.
- Change your pillowcase every three days.
- Avoid pulling up your blanket around your chin or anywhere near your face.
- Wipe your sunglasses or eyeglasses, especially on the rims with alcohol before each use.
- While on the phone, do not let the phone handset touch your face. Use the speaker phone or bluetooth instead if possible.
- Avoid waxing if you’re using Tretinoin and FF.
- Avoid using hats or caps.
- Do not use shaving gel or aftershave. Always use a disposable shaver.
- Avoid baby powder. Talc can cause pores to clog on the face.
- When applying makeup, make sure that you use a clean brush. Brushes should be cleaned with brush cleaner every day.
- Excessive rubbing can cause wrinkles and crows feet around the eyes.
- Use only water-based moisturizers.
