Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 11) — A Filipino beauty expert joins a powerhouse, all-female selection committee for the much-anticipated Miss Universe pageant.
Olivia Quido-Co, owner of California-based O Skin Med Spa, was tapped as a member of the 10-woman panel, which was announced by the Miss Universe organization on Wednesday.
Other members of the committee include former titleholders Ximena Navarrete and Wendy Fitzwilliam, as well as Miss USA 2015 Olivia Jordan.
Quido-Co started her career as an esthetician in the US back in 2003. She has since cemented her place in the beauty industry, having earned numerous accolades — including as one of the top woman entrepreneurs in Los Angeles.
Her O Skin Med Spa's past clients also include beauty queens, Filipino celebrities, and Hollywood stars alike.
Over 80 hopefuls, including Philippine bet Celeste Cortesi, will vie for the coveted Miss Universe crown during the pageant slated for Jan. 14 (Jan. 15 Manila time).
